So today I ran the Georgetown/Idaho Springs 1/2 Marathon and had an epiphany. Let me explain......
I started out strong and was ready to beat my last time when I suffered a twisted left ankle at 2.3 miles that put me back a few minutes. My big toe, with the partial toe nail, hurt every time we went down hill, I gained a blister on the outside of my right pinky toe, then at mile 9 I started experiencing chaffing under my right arm and my lower back. While all this was going on I was trying to keep up with the "pacer" while sweating and experiencing serious cotton mouth.
I started to reflect and thought, "Why the heck am I doing this to myself?" Why do I exercise all the time to be healthy? My Great Grandma Mary is 96 years old and she has not exercised a day in her life. She laughs at me and my mom when we talk about how sore we are from class, and then we say we need to get to the gym to workout again. This woman has lived almost her whole life eating toast and Dr. Pepper for breakfast and Cheetos and Dr. Pepper for lunch. Then there is my Dad who is 70 years old and he eats a chocolate muffin for breakfast and drinks Diet A&W Rootbeer like it is water. Sure he does his strength exercises every morning (for his calves, neck, and chest) but no cardio for him either.
So what have I learned from this experience? Just that I must be an idiot for loving to put myelf through this on a daily basis. If I stopped and lived like my Dad and Grandma I might live longer - but then what would I do with all the time I would have? I think I'll just keep doing what I am doing.
I guess no lesson learned here........ :)
Women in the world today have many demands in their lives. Learning tips on how to balance these demands, and stay physically and mentally in tune, is the key to success and happiness. Now is your chance to chisel away any unwanted things, that may be getting in the way of you becoming the best you can be!

Price Match!!
So as you saw before, my kids are all in school and I am struggling with how to deal with it. Today I decided that I would be a better shopper and try and save money at the grocery store since I can take my time and not worry about anyone wanting to look at the toys, or need to go to the bathroom, or are so bored they keep whining.
So I got out my list, checked the ads to see what they had, and I was on my way. I ended up spending under my budget by $20, AND I was able to get 26 items for my food storage!! Woo Hoo!!!! I was so excited! The lady at the chekout was so fun too and was getting excited for me! We were laughing and having a great time! I can't believe how much fun it was and I am so excited to go shopping next Monday again! You should all try it and see how much money you can save!! Maybe we should use that left over money for a peidcure?? We deserve it!
Happy price matching to you all!!

The kids are ALL in school.....
So today was the first day that I had ALL 3 of my kids in school. I have been very confused as to how I should feel. I am excited to be selfish and have free time, but then I feel bad for thinking that, but then I have accomplished a lot today, but then feel bad because it is because my kids are gone, but then feel great because my house feels in order and I am cleaning out a lot of the junk we have acquired, but feel bad because it is so nice out and I could be playing with my kids at the pool........ I am a basket case! The cat, on the other hand, is having a GREAT day enjoying the peace and quiet and not having anyone bother him!
